Benefits

Vitamin D3
Vitamin D is a fat-soluble vitamin that comes in two forms: Vitamin D2 and Vitamin D3, the latter being the type of Vitamin D included in this tablet. Vitamin D3 is the variant of the vitamin that is produced by the action of sunlight on the skin, however, it can also be obtained through specific dietary sources. The primary role of Vitamin D3 is to contribute to the normal maintenance of bones and teeth. The vitamin aids calcium absorption and is essential for the normal growth and development of bone in children. Vitamin D is equally important for those over the age of 60 as falling is a risk factor for bone fractures amongst the older adult. Vitamin D helps to reduce the risk of falling associated with postural instability and muscle weakness.

Vitamin K2-MK7
Vitamin K2-MK7 is just one of the several forms of Vitamin K available to humans. This type of Vitamin K is scientifically known as Menaquinone and has a long chain structure, as opposed to a short-chain structure. Vitamin K2-MK7 is synthesised by the conversion of Vitamin K1 in the colon, converted by natural E.coli. We can also attain Vitamin K naturally through food sources including animal-based foods and fermented foods. This includes eggs, yoghurt, natto (a Japanese fermented soybean product) and green leafy vegetables such as spinach and kale. Vitamin K2-MK7 contributes to the maintenance of healthy bones and teeth by aiding Calcium metabolism and absorption. In addition, this fat-soluble vitamin is needed for the process of blood clotting.
