Description

There are numerous types of seaweed, broken down into three groups - red, brown and green. The colour represents the amount of light absorbed in the seaweed via photosynthesis, representing how close to the surface the seaweed grows.

Sea Kelp is a type of brown seaweed that grows on rocks underwater. It is the largest type of seaweed with strands growing up to 200m. This seaweed is native to the Northern Atlantic Ocean, particularly the upper section of the ocean. Historically, seaweed was previously known as a 'sea vegetable', with first knowledge of the algae dating back to 600 BC when seaweed was used solely for the King's special guests.

We use Ascophyllum nodosum as the source of Sea Kelp in our tablets. Sea Kelp is a natural source of Iodine, as well as Vitamins A, B1 (Thiamine), B2 (Riboflavin), C, D and E. In addition, Sea Kelp is rich in Copper, Calcium, Iron, Magnesium, Potassium and Zinc.
