What is Lutein?
Lutein is a carotenoid, a substance that provides colour. Lutein is considered a yellow pigment but may appear to be red in high concentrations. There are more than 600 carotenoids that naturally occur in nature, but very few offer health benefits. Lutein is one example of a carotenoid that provides health benefits.
